Since lightroom 3 does not have export for web use only (with out putting it in gallery) can you export for e-mail (one of the presets) and then put them on a disk, will they still be a good size to upload to the web (i.e. facebook) and then if anyone does the unthinkable and right-click and save. How well will the photo come out if they try to print it.
I myself am having a problem wrapping my mind around this and I know that I should be able to get this but I have dwelled on this for days now and been to the tube and google. Just can't seem to grasp this.
Thanks UHH for all the help
If your web site is Flickr or Smugmug or even Facefook there are plug ins that can be added to the publishing part of the Library Module. If it is some other website consult help and go to the adobe website to see if that particular site has a plug in. Then under file go to the plugin manager and add it or activate it. Then simply drag and drop the photos to that "folder" in the library module. I have been doing this since Lightroom 2 and find it very easy to upload to either Facebook or Smugmug
also in the export file menu you have the options for resizing and limiting the file size. When I upload for web I limit the file to 500pix and reduce quality to 75% looks good on web but man it does not print very well.
