Very nice! Is there anything you don't do? Where do you find the time! Great pieces, Erv!

Thank you Sue! She has her favorite ones, which go on the shelves in the house. The others she likes a lot gey wrapped and then they show up every so often here and there through out the house.:) She said the first three looked kind of spooky. But I will hang them after she gets finish on them and then see.

Oh my goodness, Erv, the last one is out-of-this-world beautiful! Definitely doesn't need paint! You are soooooo talented! You could start a business and sell your carvings...
but I'd be willing to bet that Janny wants to keep them! :)
I love the faces, too.

Thank you :):):) Well one thing that really help,, I stopped watching TV. To much junk on there!!! The other thing is I like being outside,ALOT. :) The house was made to cook and sleep in. That is why I built the shelter in the back yard. I can go out and sit. Play on the computer and watch the birds and carve if it is raining.:):) All the folks that ask me about the shows that are on think I am weird because I have no clue what they are talking about.:):)

These are awesome!! So detailed! You have a gift for sure!
Erv here is another finish you might like to try on your carved figures. It takes a little more work but looks great. take a good hard floor wax warm it over a floor vent till it is pliable but not running rub in well one to five coats works well. Your talent makes me turn green with envy. Keep posting love your art both in the round and pictures.

Hi Lee. I just rub a real light oil on my carvings. Then I give them to Janny. She is the finish person.:) But she has a mix that she uses if they are staying natural wood. I will ask her when she gets home. She is a good shopper too.:):)

Hey there Erv! Can you believe-----11 pages! Lots of admirers,
if I spelled that right.....Just a note, used to do a bit of wood working, and finished with a light oil, as you mentioned. It was a teak oil, and you just rubbed a bit in, let it soak for a while, and wipe it off before it dried....Stayed looking good forever if inside
out of the weather.....Congradulations ....
Erv Fornby oil finish is very good also you just rub it on and wipe off the excess, directions are on the can very easy.
