A few pictures of the storm that came through yesterday. I just came in from taking these and it is -13 F outside with a windchill of -36 F. I can't remember ever experiencing a windchill that cold here in central Illinois.

Yes that is cold...over here we have been getting one gale after another with record rainfall, the whole of Britain is waterlogged. It seems the Worlds weather is going crazy!!
That doesn't sound enjoyable either, but at least you don't have to shovel it.

I'm shivering just looking at your photos. Global warming is not here in North Idaho.

Here in NZ I had followed that story with interest especialy that my cousin was at the same time visiting the Antarctic ice. But from South America. Yes it is summer this side of the equator but even though this drama would be in "midnight sun" lattitudes it is still permanent ice. I did see n the news tonight the ice there has eased and the ship has become free.
Despite my "defence" I can only agree the weather has become more extreme everywhere, our summer thee past few days has not been very summery, and I feel sincerely sorry for those of you suffering the extreme cold.
Best wishes and wishing you a speedy thaw.
Andrew

They are blaming the cold on global warming as well....go figure.
