It is a good idea to keep a folder of various sky pattens, keep them in their natural state, direct out of the camera.
Later, when you have a good picture subject, but the sky is gray, or bald, or flat blue; you can insert one of your better skies into the good subject and make a much better picture.

Thanks. I do have a growing collection of skys/clouds. The changing sky fascinates me. I think I probably shoot more clouds than anything - except possibly trees!
