Thanks to all who have shared their ideas on this board. It has been appreciated when I have run into a wall over something stupid. I am very sincere in this.
I also want to thank those who spoke up or wrote to me privately over the recent debacle when what I said (about a person not taking on work they feel unsure of) and said they understood what I was trying to say. I am also very sincere in this.
But what has taught me the most is the recent debacle and how it brought out really nasty actions in some. There have been several people that have left the site. Now I shall too.
I cannot believe people who are adults can take things said or debated on a board on the internet for God's sake to a whole new level off the board. I especially want to thank the people who sent me horrible comments via my website. My work and my character were trashed in some God-awful comments submitted via my website. Amazing.
You can say whatever you want to me on the board, but leave my real life alone. And I suggest you get one... a real life that is. And perhaps next Christmas you can ask Santa for both some balls AND a brain. The balls will make you not hide behind a made up name when you submit the query on my site. And just maybe the brain will stop you all together from messing in someone's personal life. You can say what you want about me on this board, just stay out of my real life. If you are unable to tell the difference... seek help.
I also want to give a shout out to the couple of people who called my phone number all during the night and hung up. Mom recently got out of the hospital and I sleep with my cell next to my bed. Those middle of the night calls were REALLY nice to get. And they all managed to come from blocked numbers...imagine that! Grow the hell up you fools.
So, whatever, enjoy farting rainbows at each other and never having to tolerate anyone who poses the question, "Are you ready for this?" Maybe eventually you will all devour each other and there won't be a need for such a board.

I sincerly hope that nasty comments on your website and late night calls are an exaggeration and grown adults would not behalve in such a manner, but saddly nothing really surprises me any more.
Please report the nasty pm's to the admin, we have no need or desire for such actions in the community.
While you and I don't see eye to eye on certain issues it does not mean that I wish you any ill harm. I hope your mother is feeling better shortly.

I'm trying to sort things out on my end and haven't gone to "unsubscribe" yet.
The private messages were sent mainly through my website contact. Funny how mostly just the supportive messages were sent through this UHH. LOL.
I don't pull any punches and I don't exaggerate. Two of my better qualities... usually.
Whomever it was that put my website name into the middle of the debacle hopefully meant no harm. Sadly, there are always people ready to be an ass. Especially when they can be anonymous.

Agreed, sadly this forum is beginning to turn sour, it's the first I have ever been on one due to all the negatives I heard about some people who frequented forums. But in a photography forum? Oh well.

lindysuewho, if you decide to press charges, then let me know. I'll provide you with my contact information for a subpoena.
I'll be happy to provide the authorities with IP addresses and timestamps of anyone involved in any kind of harassment. Once you have that, the authorities can subpoena the respective internet providers to get customer information and figure out the identity of those people.
Keep the webserver logs of your site. Matched with my server logs, the content of any private messages, their internet provider's logs, and phone company records, it wouldn't be hard for the authorities to confirm the identities of the people involved and establish persistent pattern of harassment.

Sad to say but, some adults never grow up. I hope the person or persons causing the problem are prosecuted to the full extent of the law. There is no excuse for this behavior.

I think it is very sad that as adults we can not have a disagreement without it escalating into harassment not only on the board but off the board as well.
I am so sorry that lindysuewho had to deal with such childish behavior and have the sanctity of her home breached by someone who for what ever reason thought it was within their right to do so. :(
Lindysuewho, I do hope you report the offending PM's to the Admin and take him up on his offer to help you track the IP addresses to who ever did this.

It's easy to say, "Well, it happens" to someone who gets really unpleasant e-mails, but when it happens TO YOU, it's quite upsetting. Take what comfort you can from the fact that it's happened to others before and since: you are not alone. And if at all possible, NEVER let the buggers get your 'phone number.
