Now, Missoula is one of my favorite places on Earth. Every where you look there is a view, you are a fortunate son to live there. Beautiful work (play) .
Would you comment on the differences between the original file and what is produced here on the web. color contrast, etc. Yes its all controllable, but in the transition, what differs.?
These are examples of photos to be put to canvas wraps.

zcaman You want my trade secrets? Ok it's almost Xmas so here goes. I shoot in Raw with a Sigma camera Sigma has its own disc for converting Raw to Jpeg The one noticeable channel on their program is Available Light. I used that along with a brightness channel. I hardly ever use color intensity. Get that from my contrast channel. I just play with these channels until I get a personal ooooh that's neat remark. The key player is the Available light. When the sunlight falls on the Fall colors in Montana LOOK OUT!!!!!! tHANKS MUCH FOR THE GREAT canvass compliment. Robin

Sigma, that be something to look at more closely. I have been looking for an alternative to the N's and the C's. The software sounds interesting.
Is what you see, what you get when put to the web? (I mean the results you put out there are great, but are the originals better?)
Thanks for divulging the secret recipe. Ha.
Merry Christmas!

I am trying "Gimp" (gimp.com) right now, its an open source photoshop wannabe. not bad ,however.

Any chance that you know Kevin Owens in Missoula?

don't think I know Kevin. Is he into photography? Don't think the original are better or they'd be out there.Give Sigma some serious thought. Their lenses are quite a bit less the ones brought to you by N&C.
cheers
