You had to have noticed I am from Texas, that's the only way I believe.

quote=Ol Hasbeen]Thanks ebbote. I'm one of those "country boys" who grew up shooting. I've shot competition now for about 55 yrs. I was hoping I wouldn't ruffle too many feathers with a patriotic photo; but if I did, OK. I've been there before.[/quote]

Technically I think it is Great...you just have to watch blowing out the highlights. The composition and is top notch.

"Thanks James 56. Glad you liked the composition. Technically I think it should have been a view camera shot, but I don't do film or view cameras any more. I loused up my original post. I wanted to store original & blew it. The reason I wanted to make it downloadable was the fact that the camera was my new a7r and the lens was an old Micro Nikkor 55mm f3.5 AIS. Oh well, I'll get a better detailed shot and post it.

You got it figured out. I still compete with one & read the other; course at my age it's about time to cram for the finals.

Yea, hang in there...you got the gear. Give it another try, take several exposures and settle on the one that looks best.

Wonderful photo and who cares if you "ruffle feathers" with a photo such as this.

A cold snowy day and not much to do. Sooo, this came into being. It's not a great photo technically, but I kind of like the atmosphere. What do you think?

Excellent job, wonderful message! Thank you and merry Christmas!

I think it's a great photo, sends a powerful message. I grew up around guns and carried one along with a badge for over 22 1/2 years. Strongly believe in the Constitution and 2nd Amendment.
