hi folks,
have been following the interesting dialogue on many subjects. from time to time i've felt the need to "throw my hat in the ring", so here i am. at 67, photographing since 12, only film, unable to relate to digital, but not hostile to it. i still love the smell of chemicals in my attic darkroom. shoot 35, 6x6, 6x7, 6x9, 4x5 and 5x7. did fashion as a young man in hartford connecticut. now, long ago and far away. have used almost every camera out there, except the alpa 12 (bummer, but too expensive for me). have used digital when required - canon, nikon, fuji. still love schott and minolta glass and prime lenses. unable to use zooms - probably something genetic. let me know if there's anything else you want to know.
Welcome to the forum. With your vast experience, you will certainly be a welcome addition. Some of us have had the pleasure of shooting b/w and developing/printing our own photos. Digital is certainly a new animal, but keep at it, and it will start to make sense. However, there will never be the magic of seeing a photo develop right before your eyes.
Glad to have you aboard. You can invite Frodo to join us as well.
