Has anyone else ever purchased any of the Karl Taylor photography courses?
I can recommend Kelby Training !
Scott Kelby's books are great, and so are Matt Kloskowski's

Yes, although I can't give you the exact title right now. Included was many hours of additional videos. I did not watch all of the videos - yet. I still have more to look forward to. He has a very enthusiastic style, and he's easy to watch. He's strictly Canon, if that matters to you. I use Nikon. He seems to know what he's talking about, and I have learned from what I've seen so far.
Whatever you use to learn, keep good notes.
Karl is very expensive. Bryan Peterson very good.
I like Bryan Peterson also. Have several of his books.

I have studied through his free courses. I learned a little. I also enrolled in the NYIP. I learned more in the first unit than I did in any of his courses. Maybe it's just me, I don't know. Good Luck!
so ur saying nyip is good.

Yes I have and Karl is a great instructor. I suggest you first order his
free beginning course to see if you like him.

There are those that will tell you NYIP is outdated, because they still teach film. Light is light, composition is composition, shutter speed and aperture are still the same as they've ever been. I first took the NYIP course, when it was still in a brick and mortar building, I took it again a few years ago, as an alum, I got a really good price break. They have updated quite a bit of their materials and cover digital, but with the quckly changing landscape of digital, they keep it pretty generic. That being said, I learned enough to make money with my photography the first time around. If you have been shooting a while, a lot of it is stuff you just "know" from experience if that makes sense. I would do the "first round" again, but being an "old salt," it was kind of a waste to do it again. Just my 2 cents.
