The eternal question for me is invariably, " Why do I never forget I have a bad memory?"

Yes it should - spoken like a true Scot - is that a fairway in your avatar - not St Andrews is it?

Haven't had that pleasure. My golf is even worse than my photography. Have a great Hogmanay

Lang may yer lum reek, on ither fowk's coal.
music analogy is true. however, I can do more with my piano at home...quicker action, better bass and treble sound, etc.....than the one I play for church. Same with cameras, a better camera will do more for you....if you will only practice and use it.

Studied all the input to this post and made a decision. I just had to do something to improve. I've invested in a Stradivarius. It didn't come with a manual, so I still have to take my first picture. Once I get going, I'll post some shots. Feel free to Critique.

I agree. I have an A57, and as I become more familiar with it the better my pictures get. No need to upgrade to the newest model.

I like to think of myself and my camera as a partnership - we get better as we get to know each other.
Yeah, partnership.........Ain't it grand.
Kinda like my first girlfriend. I kept up with her for a while, but she kept getting better, and I couldn't keep up.
What if that's happening with the evolution of the camera's and I just keep falling behind.
Nope, I'll stick to my old Brownie Hawkeye..... it's just like a plain old first girlfriend who doesn't get better.

My swinger still works for me.
