Our club hosted a sailplane event this weekend. Just a shot of the launch. They sail around for a timed-period and try to land as close to the orange cones and as close to the end of the timed-period.

Gliders are benches on your front porch that swing back and forth. To us guys that fly them, they are sailplanes.

Could not tell you...I'm not a sailplane type guy and only stopped by the field to lend support. They had flyers from all over the area for a 4 day event. Thanks for visiting and commenting. ;-)
