I knkow we talked about this but I lost the post. I need to transfer a group of pics from my hard drive (in Picasa) to a flash drive. HOW DO I do it? THANKS A MILLION>
Put the flash drive in the computer. Find the photos you want, copy (to copy more than one ctrl + C), select the flash drive from My Computer, ctrl V or right click paste.
Or, if you can open the flash drive window AND the window of the file containing the photos. Simply left click and drag. Again, you can ctrl left click to select multiple files.
I don't use Picassa, but on my regular Windows pictures folders I usually just, plug the drive in, right click on the folder or photos you want to put on the drive, scroll down to "send to" and pick the device from the menu that pops up. Good luck.
Oh wait, duh. Were you talking about online storage?
If you want to do the transfer from Picasa you should select the pictures you want to transfer (placing them in the picture tray at the lower left corner of the screen), click on export, producing the Export to Folder screen, click Browse and select your flash drive by name, and click Export.
Just wanted to say thank you for the great tip it helped me alot :) :)
Just so you are aware, if you transfer out side of Picasa you will not have the edits, they will be the original unless you did a "Save As" in Picasa. Picasa is a none distructive program, and will not re-write file till you tell to.
So if you want your edits - copy them from Picasa.
