My female Hummingbirds guard their feeders, and have such an attitude. The male kept trying to get some food, and he just kept his tongue out in case he could get close enough.
They can be feisty can't they! We watch ours sit in the tree by the feeder and chase off others, why can't they learn to share! :) I love lil Hummers but ours are gone now. Just left with no "thanks" for the sweet water! :)
I live in the Panhandle of Florida, and we have a tropical storm coming. The rain, wind and wasps are a challenge.

They are not so fresh anymore, the birds sit above them, and I don't have an indoor cage , so :P
