Making a photo catalog with page numbers

I have Adobe Master Collection and access to Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge and InDesign. I would like to (first) categorize all of the photos on my system (nearly 800,000) and then print the categories into individual books or catalogs with numbered pages. I need to produce multiple images (about 9) per page with the image name below each one and have page numbers and the catalog name appear at the bottom of each page. I cannot seem to figure out how to work these programs together to get the proper desired results. I cannot get the programs to add page numbers nor a desired page layout. Anybody with suggestions would be most welcome to respond.

There and the surroundings. I had some timeshare points I had to use by March, and I just made it under the wire. I got two weeks for $159.

You have a huge job ahead of you, making books with all those parameters.

Of course you can use all the programs you have to do all the image preparation. You'll probably need another program to pull everything together in book format, with the left and right page numbers, categories, photo titles, etc. None of that will be automatic, but you can make it easier by creating page templates and then adding the photos and titles.

Here's one program that will enable you to do what you want to do; pulling together photos, text, and other elements:

I've used Serif programs for years. They are inexpensive, but full featured. The learning curve is easy, and intuitive -- depending on your experience level. If you can use all those other programs, then PagePlus will be simple for you.

Dan,

Once you've got your pictures organized, you can use a program called BreezeBrowser Pro to print contact sheets with picture metadata and page numbers. The number of picture columns and rows is editable. You can download a trial version and check it out.

Use Lightroom to create Collections for each of your "categories". You can even do this using Smart Collections and keywords. Then, using the Book module, create (layout) your book the way you need for each of those Collections.

Adobe In Design will be your best bet. It will automatically do page numbering and indexing. It will also allow you to create templates, And add master elements. A master element is anything you want to appear on every page.
If you do the math 800,000 images at nine images per is 88,889 pages. I hope you're a young man. In Design will allow you to create books with 9999 pages Max, so you'll have to do about nine volumes. That would be an incredible body of work.
