I have heard of them yes. Before I went to Prague a friend of mine said I would see models of it in every souvenir shop but I didn't. Maybe since the fall of communism it has droppped out of favour. (?)

First of all it is not "them' but just one Holy Infant. The reason why I mentioned the Holy Infant of Prague is because it was a gift from Spain a long time ago.The church where he "lives" is easily located at the old part of Prague and I am surprised you could not find any souvenir replicas because they are truly available everywhere in all sizes. At least since 1989 till present.Perhaps you did not know how the Holy Infant looks like.
As for if the Holy Infant had dropped out of favor since the fall of communism you got it exactly backwards. Communists hated religion and any religious symbols including the Bible were not available anywhere.Showing any interest in religion woul get you in trouble.
