black & white vs colored

had the opportunity to take a couple shots of my favorite subjects - my daughter & 2 nieces. It always amazes me how different a photo looks once you convert to black & white.

i think i prefer the black & white - shows "feeling". (the brunette is mine...)

One of the advantages of digital is it is so dog gone easy to have or make a blk & wht from a color. It's all about the fun, the options - and mostly it is subjective. Thanks for sharing.

Don't know if it's the age or what but I really like nicely contrasted B&W photos

I like the color for a couple of reasons. Their beautiful skin tones and the the three hair colors. The black and white hides these both of these features.

Always love B&W so I'm prejudice. If it were my shot I would take the shine off your daughters face---tell me what you think................

When I look at the color photo my eyes go to the contrasting hair colors. When I look at the B&W my eyes go straight to their faces. I like the B&W! Thanks for sharing. Great pic!
