Excellent shot. The only thing it needs is a frame to hang it on your wall.

Classic B & W. Great subject matter, Wonderful contrasts and light distribution, and the clarity throughout the image just perfect.
Wonderful portrait Mark

Cheers Paul, I appreciate you taking the time to look and comment. I owe the picture to the teachings of Russ Elkins (PalePictures here on UHH)

Just super Mark! You owe me nothing... My enjoyment and everyone else's is in your excellence.

Congrats. I love the reverse exposure. Face dark highlighted by white hair beard and shirt... Just Great!

Keep up the good work.

My first job was in a body shop.:) They were still using lead to fill the dents.:) I got trained by some get old guys there. But I didn't last long. I wanted to be outside more so I became a carpenter.:) Tell Dad I said HI!

Thank you so much Erv for looking and commenting. My Dad has worked hard all his life and he is such a gentle soul. He is 82 now and still very spry :). He started his apprenticeship as a mechanic and panel beater when he was 16 and did it his whole working life. Back "in the day" when a smashed up car came in for repair he didn't replace the fenders ETC with new ones he would beat out the dents and then use body filler to get the final lines. During the school holidays I would sometimes go to his workshop with him and watch him put on a layer of filler, let it set, take it down with a sheet of wet and dry, put on another layer. Prime it, rub it down, prime it again before the final color (which he mixed himself) In the end you wouldn't know the vehicle was ever in an accident - he was a true craftsman. Cheers
