And why not? There is a certain tranquility about them.

These are Canada geese. We can no longer say "Canadian" geese because this is now considered politically incorrect. With all the rhetoric in Washington over the illegal alien issue concerning Canadians, I don't see why the pronunciation of a species of bird is such a big deal.

I mean, I know that the illegal Canadians that are in this country are clogging up our welfare system and the fact that they don't even have to learn our language is quite annoying to most.

Why don't we just get rid of all 12 of them and be done with it so we can once again call these birds "Canadian" geese?

Anyway, enjoy.

Political correctness drives me crazy and I think it's caused an over sensitive society. I call them Canadian Geese and will continue to do so. Either way, nice pictures!

Great photos of CANADIAN GEESE. I've called them that since I was seven and shoot my first one. I'm sure not going to stop now because some bureaucrat says it's not nice. I've taken a look at what these bureaucrats have done to this country and ... don't get me started. I'll just stop right here. Nice CANADIAN GEESE

Angler's not the only one that likes shots like these, "anything in flight". Nice shots mister. As to political correctness, it is designed to make people feel guilty. Any psychologist will tell you that guilt is the number one tool used to control someone. Sad to say it works on many. Personally, it makes me sick.

I threw that in because I have seen it many times on this forum when people type "Canadian", some one always chimes in and corrects them. Pretty funny sometimes.

Well, good! If I ever catch some nice ones again, I will make sure to post them. I played hockey for most of my life and whenever we played a Canadian team, we also played the Canadian national anthem and even sang to it. Weird.

Not weird at all!! We sang yours at our hockey games too.

Good neighbours are hard to find, love having you guys next door. I am a little biased though two of my granddaughters are American and Canadian.

I was hoping to photograph some of the big flocks of geese heading south over the next couple of weeks.

btw, nice pictures!!!

Thanks! Actually I think my wife is Canadian. She says that she is from St. Thomas North Dakota but I think that is just a smoke screen because she is always saying, " How boot that, eh?".

And if you want to hear weird, there is a library that I believe is in New York. Half of which is in Canada. Even after 9-11, one can still drive their car from one side of the parking lot to the other and go about their merry way.
