:) I guess there is no perfect place where the trolls don't thrive, but it's nice to have people who take the time to help others:) So far, I'm loving it here!

I don't mean to hijack your thread but since it was brought up just what exactly is a "troll" in relationship to this forum?

Absolutely love the first shot! Very soft, innocent, and candid. Candids are my favorite type of shot by far! Keep up the fun and exploratory work..... good job!

Actually, the one of the little girl (your daughter I assume) is really interesting because of the frame-filling opposite crop. (with her head cut off...)

Normally, the crop would be opposite but for some reason, this works for me....and the black and white treatment also.

Thank you. I love that picture because, like you said, it just works for some reason even though it's not traditionally what I would do.

Oh... I will post them correctly next time... sorry

hey Faith's Mom, I haven't even tried to load a picture yet. I really liked your photos. Think the one with the baby was interesting. I've taken a few classes and one thing I try (but do forget at times) is to make sure your subjects eyes are in focus. My main candidates for my pictures are my grandchildren. :D

Thank you.. I do try to do that too... I just fail at it sometimes :( Thank you for the tip! I appreciate any help I get! I am just learning to shoot in apeture priority inside (where I have to work on lighting more). It's a whole new monster for me!

Faith's Mom! For just one class, you've done very well! The little girl is delightful! The windmill is very nice - did you use a tripod? The baby is nice - I can hear the baby giggling at the colored lights from here! Nice job! The nice thing about photography is that you never stop learning! Keep on shooting!

Thank you so much! I am absolutely LOVING learning and trying new things. Yes, I used a tripod on the windmill shot. It took me SOO many tries to get that shot! It was not only my first try at night shooting, but also my first try at "light painting" so it was a night!!! .. and you are so right, that baby loved the lights!!!

Faith's Mom! You're welcome! You don't have to appologize for shooting so many pictures - when I shoot close-up moon shots, I usually shoot at least a dozen pix.

Faith's Mom! No, you're not! Many pro photog's shoot a lot of pictures when experimenting with new subject matter or a new technique! That's also, what's great about digital - you can make lots of pictures very inexpensively, and experiment as much as you want to without it costing a bundle! Also, I love your avatar photograph!
