Well, not entirely, just the support. Here is what a digital techy, Kim Komando, has to say about it.

Windows 7 happens to be the best, one of the reasons Windows 8 has fallen flat.

Sorry, I would disagree. I was always told that Vista was the worst, and would randomly stop, hiccup and crash. Well, my Vista ran fine for more years than I should have used it, and now that I've "upgraded" to a new system (Dell Laptop) and Windows 7, I have the slowest, quirkiest, most sensitive piece of software I've used. I expected a 64 bit with 8 GB of Ram to be pretty speedy, but this is slower than Windows 95.

I was just reporting on my experiences, which go back before DOS. Many users have backed my claim. One aspect of the various problems attributed to the "operating system" have little to do with the installed version of Windows. Problems can come from viruses, poorly designed/built software and also hardware, particularly the video card and the software to drive it. Actually, most blue screens are caused by faulty video.

I started my experiences with a windows 95 machine, graduated to a ME, to a 98, to a XP to a Vista and now a Windows 7.

I have always read all the comments about the different OS's during the times I have had them and all I can say is that I did not have PROBLEMS with any of those listed above...

Of course some were better than others, but all gave good service for what they were.

Personally I like XP the best. Have only been using 7 for about 5 months so not fully "Trained" yet..hahaha...

I started with Apple II and then went MS DOS. I missed Windows 1 & 2. But I had three an all the way up 7. I think Windows 7 is the best of the bunch. I've seen Windows 8 and think it's going to be another Vista for Microsoft.. XP, I thought was great and if my tech friend hadn't given me a deal that I couldn't pass up I would still have it.

I recently bought a new computer and it has a large solid state hard drive this will speed up a computer more than anything you can do to one but it is very expensive now.
But in time they will come down and they will take over the old spinning disk drives days are numbered.

Well not numbered entirely we will always need the 1 and 2 TB drives for photo storage.

Critics used to say solid state devices would never completely replace vacuum tubes.
Solid state devices didn't completely eliminate tubes, some of which are still being used for limited purposes, but the heyday of tubes is gone.
Eventually those TB drives will be solid state too when technology catches up.

Glad to hear this, think it makes us the only two in the world that had good success with Vista. I built a desktop just for Vista Ultimate, it has been the best computer I've had. A little slow to start but it'll stay up for weeks at a time.

I was told that if you played Vista backward it would play satanic messages but what was worse is if you played it forward it installed Vista.
