Sadly your physical therapist didn't cure you (because they wanted to make money? - not your doctor, as some here have alluded). There are three simple do-at-home therapies for lateral epicondylitis (aka, "tennis elbow" ). They also work for the inside-of the elbow medial epicondylitis, aka "golfer's elbow". I never send patients to therapy for this because they can do everything they need to do at home with no expense.

Six minutes AM and PM:
1. Ball squeeze: racquet ball or tennis ball - squeeze and relax - do for 2 minutes.
2. Towel twist: hand towel or dish towel - grasp in each hand and twist it like you're trying to wring it out. Twist each way, repeat for 2 minutes.
3. Wrist curls: start with 2# hand weights or a can of beans: rest your forearm on your leg, holding the weight just beyond the knee. Raise your hand, relax, repeat for two minutes. For tennis elbow the palm should face down, for golfer's elbow the palm should face up.

Do these for 3-4 weeks and your pain will most likely be gone. (Sometimes a shot of cortisone helps also!). :)

Most likely you're talking about lateral epicondylitis. It is a tendinitis basically of the common extensor tendon aka tennis elbow. This technique can work. Another good adjunct is an anti inflammatory gel such as ketoprofen gel or voltaren gel. You need a script and compounding pharmacy. It's not real expensive but does work! You also have to apply several times a day! This is a very chronic problem but can improve greatly with therapy! I've never had it but I work for an orthopedic surgeon who sees many, many patients with this problem. And I assure you he isn't all about the money!! They aren't all that way!! But many are sadly!! Good luck!

I have found relief taking Tumeric. My shoulders and knees are no longer painful.

Thanks for the info . I happen to really like my doctor he has been great, but he has new therapist who are very nice but I am not getting any results . Have to get rid of pain before I can start to strengthen it. The heat has been amazing. Cortisone is a short temporary fix that doesn't help from my experience .
Your excersises will help !
Thanks

Glad to hear it worked for you. I play a lot of tennis and I think if I wasn't always doing photography it would get a little better but holding the camera and then editing on the computer have just exacerbated it.

I get it from organic india.com I take one capsule in the morning and one in the evening.
Before I started taking it I was in constant pain, my knees felt like someone was driving a nail into the side of them, I would wake up in the middle of the night with the pain. There was no way I could afford to go the the doctor. One of my neighbors recommended this, I tried it and my knees are still tender but not in pain. If I am careful I can continue to do all the things on my farm I have always done.

This is a perfect example of the power of the subconscious mind.
What we believe becomes reality. Any "Itis" is easily corrected once you accept that it originates in the mind. For more info, google Dr John E Sarno

Weather your elbow hurts from holding your camera to much or from playing sports here is a very easy remedy for tendonitis or as it is for me tennis elbow.

I play a lot of tennis and developed this tendonitis which before I started taking pictures would usually come and go . Now it's been getting worse from holding a heavy camera and lens. What to do what to do. Love both so I can't give up either.

Went to physical therapy for couple of weeks! Paid a lot of money !
(Thanks Obama) didn't work because ice is only a temporary fix and short lived.
So after the wedding shoot I did I was in agony ! So I googled and googled.
Thank you Mr google! And found this remedy. It sounds a little strange buy I can attest it WORK!

So here it is. Get a hammer small one if you have it and heat up some water
Not so hot that you burn yourself but not enough that you feel the heat.
Add a touch of oil to the end veggie or olive oil and gentle apply the hammer to the elbow continuously moving it up and down the arm.
Do this for about 10mins. A couple of times during the day for a couple of days .I had immediate relief with the first application.
Ps the guy who suggested this is a sports trainer.
I am amazed why the drs do not know these things!

Hope this helps someone who has been in pain.

Sorry I don't believe it originated in the mind . It originated from playing hours and hours of tennis and not moving correctly or having the wrong tennis grip.
I believe the mind is very powerful and can overcome a lot but the MRI shows
A tear and a whole load of arthritis and inflammation.
I am just saying that this worked for me so if can work for someone else great.

Don't be sorry - what matters is what you believe. In time it will be accepted by all, just like how the planet is not flat.

Out of 100 participants, 67% had no pain, even though they had bulging disks. Unfortunately, our rage (pain) will go somewhere - back ache, digestive issues, allergies, etc...

Either there is a mind body connection or not. What most of us don't realize is how much of the mind is in charge.

That reminds me????? A guy goes into the emergency room to seek relief for his tennis elbow. He sits patiently for almost an hour and finally goes up to the desk and ask how much longer, and is told that they have two shootings a broken arm and victims of two car crashes and his sore arm will have to wait. He grumbles about how he pay's his insurance and this is the best they can do. The admitting nurse say's if he wants he can go out through the door to the left and try the computer doctor right away, he goes out and and is confronted with what looks like a photo booth, he steps in and see's a screen that says insert five dollars. He does and a tray comes out with a cup and the screen says pee into the cup. He does as instructed and the tray re tracks and after some clicking and humming by the machine a message appears on the screen. You have tennis elbow, ice the affected area and do not play tennis for seven day's minimum. HMMMMMM he goes home and a couple day's later he goes and collects pee from each of his family members including the dog some leaked motor oil from his car and he whacks into the cup. returning to the computer doctor as the cup comes out he pours the whole concoction into the cup. This time the machine clicks a whirs and makes all sorts of strange noises, finely after about ten minutes a message appears on the screen. Your wife is cheating on you, your daughter is pregnant, your dog has fleas, your car needs a ring and valve job and if you don't stop whacking that thing your tennis elbow will never clear up.
