I agree I think it would be nice if everyone that this applies to would stop being insulting, demeaning, rude and mouthy you know who you are. people can disagree and be civil and learn from one an other until they are attacked.

tschmath, I'm in,,,,,,,that stuff gets so old , why don't we talk about something interesting !
This should be very simple. No censorship. If you do not like the topic then don't join in. You don't have to be rude by leaving a post. No one is trying to shove religion or political views down your throat if you do not take part in the discussions.

So from now on, I promise to not create any posts slamming conservatives, Republicans or anyone on this forum with whom I disagree. I will also not be responding to any more posts from those on the right that slam liberals, Democrats, or their ideas. Can anyone join me?
Does this mean you are leaving the forum and going to troll elsewhere???

So here's a radical suggestion. Let's volunteer to just stop posting political stuff. And discussions about religion. No one is going to change his or her mind, so why piss each other off?
On initial read, I agreed with that proposal because I find it sad that posts get so hurtful and attacking, and you're right...that kind of discourse is not going to change anyone's mind, just polarize us into our already held positions. But then I remembered hearing a wise man tell me that "there are many windows to God or to the "truth." For some it's Jesus, for some it's Buddha, for some it's the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Look through whatever window works for you, but please don't try to force me to look through your window. And PLEASE don't throw mud on my window to dirty my view."
Maybe we can share the view through our windows without throwing mud on others'?

Boy did you miss the point. I wanted to get ALL of us to stop posting political and religious topics. I did not offer any opinion in this thread, so I have no idea what you are talking about.
Amen, Religion, like sex and politics belong at home in the privacy of one's bathroom.

I do not talk Politics in bed if I am in the mood. As for as religion goes. I pray, " Lord, don't let her have another headache again tonight!" Amen.

Did you hear about the guy that brought a glass of water and aspirins to bed and when his wife asked him why he said "for your headache" and she said "I do not have a headache". He said "good". ;-) ;-) ;-)

A noble effort indeed, tschmath! I have printed your closing statement and posted it above my monitor. You have my admiration!

OK, people, Miracle Time! Some one here has actually claimed that he admires any thing about tschmath.
And that raises the question, "Why?"
