Shot these last spring. Shot two photos and I was surrounded by police, asking a million questions. I was finally allowed to shoot but had to have a policeman with me. This area is supposed to be filled with ghosts and the cop was scared silly so I missed a lot of shots. If you Goggle it you will find a lot of history. It is also full of underground tunnels.

Had it's own fire dept.

Your second & last images are quite suggestive of forlorn & spooky memories.
Maybe a sepia tone treatment to enhance the feeling? (And level the eves).

Interesting subject and some great shots. We have an old closed facility in Massachusetts called the Danvers State Mental Hospital. It's also supposed to be haunted and was the subject of a movie. I never thought of it as a picture location. Good for you.

It is my understand that they wanted to film here also but for some reason weren't allowed. Sorry to say but they started to take
these buildings down

I can imagine that some of the stories from that old house are not the best to hear.

Love these shots, too bad you didn't get inside. To my way of thinking though B&W might have been better - for that "haunted" look .

Oh, and there are some abandoned mental hospital buildings at one in Eastern Washington, but the administration won't let you get anywhere near them .

The police officer that was with me almost had a heart attack when I went to take a shot through a broken window. And yes, some would look better in B&W
