When I seen the sturges location I wounderd if you road motor cycle then I looked at your picture and low and behold there it is. My two favorite things to do is ride and take pictures. So when I go I pack both camers and 4 lenses and away I go. The motor cycle alowes me to pull off in place you could not possibly pull over with a car. Get some great shots that way.

these were in a open spot in a stack of hay bails

Sunset in Wheeler, Oregon.
While I was taking this picture a young kid with a hotrod was taking a picture of the reflection on his door of this sunset.
I thought it was a good idea, but my car was too dirty.

I've gotten over 50,000 two wheeled miles under my belt in the past two and a half years - been to both coasts and seen lots in between. I have not focused on the photography on my trips that I should have, but that is changing. The Sturgis photos were during a planned trip to ride Glacier National Park and the road to the Sun, but I trailered one of my two bikes and an axle broke on the trailer which changed my plans so that is now another ride to do. I did not do Sturgis during the annual festival up there, but was up there the week afterward. I'm not a big fan of large crowds, but will probably do it one of these years. I did ride up the coastal highway in California last year and got a few good photos doing that. I have a 2,300 CC Triumph Rocket III that is a great road bike and I have camera mounts for the handle bars all set up.
