Beautiful shots. I too like the second one better. Richer colors, Howe Ed they are both great shots.

The first one is nice but I like the second one the best. A little too much stuff in the foreground in the first one for my taste. Second one seems to have better saturation and the reflection comes out better also. Love the late day lighting on the trees! Good work.

My compliments...I believe the best comment I can make is to simply say "I sat back for quite a while and just enjoyed the beautiful landscape! Very impressive. However I must add I preferred the second picture. Nice job with the magic time!

I had been here earlier in the day at about 1pm, but the light just wasn't right. So I returned at dusk, while the sun was setting in the west. Now these were taken just minutes apart, but you can see the difference in the light against the trees.

Patience is often a virtue in photography. Quite a difference.
I am surprised that no one has mentioned the mild change in
camera position. Although the first one contains the often
vaunted foreground feature, the second has eliminated the
foreground branches which I think further enhances #2.
The details do matter.
