Too bad, you're out of focus. You need smaller apertures; that combined with a slower shutter and maybe a higher ISO might do the trick.
Interesting subject, but I agree that a little more depth of field would add to the effect.
Actually they are exactly the way I wanted them they were taken at 1.7 for the purpose of the Bokeh for another forum where we are showing the difference in lens. They are in focus where I focused them at but at 1.7 the area in focus is very small.
100% crop about as focused as I can get it with my eyes
