Only one other thing to know. If the moon is just a sliver or a little bigger increase your ISO. Do not shoot below about 1/50. You will get motion blur. The moon is moving pretty quick.

That's a complicated beastie!
I have only recently tried taking moon pictures and originally made the common mistake of giving too much exposure.
According to the articles and videos I have read and seen it is basically daylight exposure and using spot metering you can even meter for it.
The white balance was set at 'Auto' but I understand that it should be set for 'Cloudy'
shot this in my backyard canon 70 200 with a 2x, used live view for focus. F7.1 iso 100 1/125sec WB white light
Jerry,
I didn't really like the "rough" drawing since it was in raster format. So, I digitized it using Autocad. I am uploading a PDF of the digitized format, but it is still rasterized. If you want the actual Autocad file, I will be happy to provide it. I understand that it may not be a format you can read (don't have the Autocad software). If this is the case, I can also provide it as an Adobe Illustrator file - fully digitally capable. This just means you can scale it to whatever size you want, the circles, text, etc. will increase/decrease in size as you see fit.

I downloaded and saved your pdf. Thanks. I also got it from the web site.
Jerry,
I have one more update. I printed the PDF I sent out earlier today. The print was just too small to really be useful. So, I scaled up the circle sizes, text, etc and moved them around to fit on a 8.5 x 11 page. The attached PDF should be much more readable - sorry for the re-send, but it is worth the trouble.
