We had to do a rest stop, what a nice place on I 57. These two shots made me feel sad, that I do not have on this color. The first shot was off on DOF. Still looks good.

Hi Bob M :) "These two shots made me feel sad, that I do not have on this color" I don't understand what you mean by this. I like #2 but would have cropped a little more from the top, which would have brought more attention to the flower rather than the light area in the top left hand corner. My idea of a rest stop would have been taking photos also..tfp

Robbie7, What I ment was, sad because I do not have this color lily in our gardens. I wanted to dig it up and take it home... The cropping, that is straight from the camera. I like the light to dark or should I say dark to light lead for the eye, you can't just skip over the main subject.
Hi Bob :-)Thanks for explaining, the good thing about our hobby is we never stop learning or I certainly don't We all have our own views on what makes a good picture and I like to hear others opinions its what helps me see better. My partner is flower crazy and our garden is packed with just about everything imaginable. While visiting yet another gardens centre today,I was shocked to see how many colour variations of Calla Lillie's there are, but we have two and I steered her away from them to something else. tfp :-)
Unusual color for a daylily. Just beautiful.
