Hi all...I'm Deb and I'm from Charleston, SC. Just start photography school 6 weeks ago in an effort to learn more about my passion for photography. I'm finally out of the camera presets and now trying to master all the various lighting conditions I encounter. It has been frustrating but still have a lot of fun with my camera. Hope to learn a lot from this page!
Welcome Deb! You'll get some really good advice from the site. Start with lighting that is easy for you....out doors maybe. Take one picture on "Automatic", then go to manual and play with you settings to see all the different variations you can come up with. Then compare them to your "automatic" shot. I bet you'll find you like your manual pictures best. Also, if you haven't already, invest in some of Bryan Petersons books. They are easy to read and understand, small enough to carry with you for reference if needed and not expensive (on Amazon). That was the first advice I got and it was the best! Good luck and enjoy!
