Not like this in England :-D
They must be really tasty. Looks like he took a big bite! He seems to be asking God to forgive him for what he just did:)
It is like living in a rainforest . I now have to check the plants on a daily basis. No more eating of my tomatoes !
you have a nice horn worm, hungry little devils

Just remember .. this ugly hornworm will one day grow up to be a beautiful Hummingbird Moth!
I plant an extra tomato plant or 2 away from the others & hand transfer them to it when I find them. Saves what is mine & lets them grow up to be pretty critters in my garden later.
Great photos Mac60 and also thanks to GeezerGal, never knew these turned into moths!! :D :D

It's nice that you share your garden with others. Had a chance to see your flicker site and was very impressed, GeezerGal. ;-)
Good photos, Mac. He/she must have a voracious appetite. Is the tail spike dangerous?

Thank you, Photog8. :-D Don't want to hijack this thread but I appreciate you taking the time to look at my site.
Thanks for the feedback and the info on these worms. I haven't seen any more.

Boy, does that look familiar. All sorts of things like to eat tomatoes.
is there anything organic you can spray them with. I'm in Florida and mine are getting to much water, it rains 4"-6" every night then the sun is so intense they are not getting big. This was my first, I picked the second last night. what's doing good is my plumb tomato's. anyway great shots......
Way too much water here in NJ- has been raining slmost every day for 3 weeks and HUMID. Peppers are done for. The tomatoes are tall and leafy , don't know how many there will be.
