Went to the Gardens to shoot a few Hummingbirds...don't know why they have to be the most active when it's the hottest ;-)
Wonderful, wonderful shots! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much Pierre...am I blushing yet? I had to laugh concerning the PP remark...since I do little in the PP department ;-) My PP only consists of...lighten and darken...cropping...and sharpening where needed :-D
Well Jan, what you do is perfect, not overdone, and simply illustrates how effective your work is.
Pierre
Great series CW! You did a beautiful job on these active little birds.

These are some of the best humming bird photos I have seen on UHH.
As a newbie I have lots of questions as to how you were able to capture such AMAZING photographs. I will however force myself to consolidate them to one or two. In picture number 10 how did you get the wing to be so clear, the bird is obviously in flight and in the other pics you can see the movement in the picture, did you (this is where I will slaughter photography terminology I'm certain) pan with the bird? or just use a really fast shutter speed? I think they are beautiful and hope to one day see a real hummingbird... when that happens I hope to get as good pictures as you have done.

Very nice! I have a friend whose mother has a bunch of feeders and he says I should go up there and shoot some photos as there are hundreds of them their most of day.
Your photos make his words have worth. BB
Love to see some Heron photos, or pink pelicans .. anyone>>>
Outstanding series, Jan. Some are as close to perfection as anyone could hope for. Beautifully done!
