Both are do for release soon. Judging by previous versions of both (Lightroom 4) which would everyone recommend? Scott Kelby or the Adobe book?

Again thanks, Jim
I really reccomend Victoria Bampton - Lightroom Queen. She has the new Lr5 book available direct from her web site or via Amazon. When you buy the book you can also download the tablet digital version for free!

Excellent! I'd like to have someone spend the day with me setting up a system. I'll try this later.

Hi Jerry, There website started out as Mansurov dot something.
They are absolutely the most amazing bunch of guys on the 'photography' web and very
knowledgeable and helpful.
Before they started the series on Lightroom I asked them about Lightroom and Elements on a
a thread that had nothing to do with LR or PE, didnt really expect and answer.
But they did and gave me very helpful advice that motivated me to buy LR.

Thanks for that. I saw articles they wrote about focusing and using focusing tables. I'll have to keep looking at their new site.
Look at Phil Steele's online lessons. He does fantastic, clear and very easy to understand videos. Only cost about $49 Aus. I tried Adobe's free online lessons and found them difficult to follow but Phil's are very clear and easy to follow. Much better than a book.

He has a series of five, and I bookmarked all of them. Now all I have to do is read and learn them. You can find them by going through his blog.
