post processing w/ Picasa

Hi y'all:
I'm using Picasa to post Process shots from a recent trip to Alaska. I usually add a footnote or post a location with the available Text edit icon but for some reason this is suddenly not working my Picasa program. I've reloaded Picasa 3 and still not getting access to this feature.
Any thoughts from my fellow Picasa users would be appreciated.
Thanks and I'll post a few when completed with my PP project.

I don't see anything like that in my copy of Picasa 3.9

Are you possibly talking about the captions? Did you click on the small white square at the bottom left of the image viewing box?

Or are you talking about the Folder Properties? You get to that by double clicking on the folder name.

This, I think, is what OP is referring to. It is called "text" though would be used for captions.

I've been using Picasa almost since it came out.
I never took notice of that button.
I guess I'm just going blind.

And, No, that's not the same as the captioning function.

Thanks for responding.
When I click on the text icon I do not get the usual text box. In fact I do not get any response except that the "Cancel" box highlights.
If I search for a script box all I get is a vertical line through the center of the photo.
Hope this helps.

Wall-e thank you and you are correct. When I click on the text box I get nothing as a reference in the photo. Used to get a "Text field" which I could maneuver throughout the photo for placement...now nothing?

Where is the "transparency" slider? If I move mine all the way to left, my "type text here" disappears. Also what are your other settings showing? Color, font style, size etc? If you can take a screen view or snip and post here as jpg, maybe we can figure it out?

Linda, thank you for responding and it doesn't seem to matter where the slider is located.

If you aren't able to post a screen view of what you see, I don't know where to go from here :)
