I don't know who the question is directed at but I can't use live view myself....I focus much better with a view finder !

I guess that depends on your camera, but I shoot in Live View on both my Nikon D90 and my Nikon D7000. Its a wonderful advancement in technology for failing eyesight.

In my opinion, glasses have a sweet spot in the glass.
I wear trifocals. I have the lines that separate the three.
I know that just above the top line is the sweet spot. This is more important to me when manual focus is used.
Your glasses require correct adjustment so that the lines are even with your pupils (not just face). Actually, I need the correct adjustment for close up stuff, like reading.
Hope this helps!!
Pat

I am blind as a bat without my contacts or glasses. My distance vision is terrible and my upclose gets worse some years and some years it stays the same. I absolutely love my contacts and hate having to take them out anymore. Like some others have said it is a possibility to look into if you are open to it.

I'll tell you what DOESN'T work for me.....no line bi-focals !! I didn't like the line so I spent a couple hundred on NO-LINE glasses......can't really look towards the side, I have to be looking through them straight on.......terrible !!

My waist line, been looking for it for years, I think I've lost it for good. Argh!

I started wearing glasses about 20 years ago (66 now) and needed prescription changes on a regular basis. Three years ago my eye doctor started me on Bausch & Lomb PreserVision soft gels. My sight has remained stable since then. My only regret is that I didn't take them earlier. I do have the lenses in my glasses that change with the lighting and I find that it's easier to see to focus but harder to judge exposure so I do rely on the histogram more now.

I think in your case, only the years went by. Your looks seem to have stayed in tact. Are you the sister of Dorean Gray?

Ever think of trying contacts? They make them multi focal now, I have a friend who swears by them.
I have the nikon 7000 and live view is great! I hate putting my glasses up and down also. Good luck. Happy Holidays!

Why thank you singleviking. I had to google Dorean Gray to see if we were related and I have to say....probably not.
