First of all the light from the window is too bright. Take the photo with the subject away from the harsh lighting. Second use your light meter on your camera or use a hand held one to get a reading on the correct exposure. If your camera does not have a light meter then take the picture in a spot that does not have light from a window and use your flash. Also, make sure your camera's white balance is set on Automatic White Balance or indoor lighting. Hope that helps.
