Hope you also got some running shoes as I suspect he's going to keep you going like the Energizer Bunny!

Great dog - and as an animal rescue volunteer, thank you for adopting from your local shelter.

You may already know this, but when my daughters were traveling in Australia earlier this year they found out that the sheep herders do not use Australian Cattle Dogs for tending the sheep. Apparently they are too hard on the sheep.

That would be why they are Australian Cattle Dogs not Australian Sheep Dogs. LoL
Australian Kelpies are more often used for sheep.

Very nice shots. You're both lucky, and he looks quite content.

Great-looking heeler. I've got a dog who's a heeler mix; I found him sitting by the side of the highway when he was only about 7 weeks old, like he was waiting for his ride. Though I didn't plan to keep him he had other ideas, and he has been a wonderful companion for over 6 years now, exceptionally devoted and scarily smart! You'll love this dog.

You are right about smart. I got a female from the Humane Society and she was smart as a whip. She decided that I was the Alfa, and my wife was third!

Yeah, when these dogs decide something is so, it pretty much is.

Your "new" pet looks like he is happy to have you as his old friend! Good shots!
