In here to try to learn how to take better pics with my Canon Powershot. Iv'e had it for 4 years and have only point and shot with it. Lots of blurry pics, paid too much for this thing to not learn how to use the rest :). Also hope to be able to get good enough to take pics for real estate. Any help would be appreciated! I have won a few honorable mentions with a different camera , this one is more complicated lol.
Welcome to UHH. There are some amazing people here with tons of great tips. Read all you can on here, shoot some pics, and post them here. People will jump in to give you constructive comments. I recommend you post your settings with your shots and a specific question about the outcome of your shot. This will help you learn fast. I also started watching videos on youtube then practice the technique immediately after. This has worked for me deepen my knowledge of my 7D.

Hello and welcome to UHH.
Welcome to the UHH forum and howdy from Houston!

We are all in the learning mode with the cameras we have. Just have fun with it, and don't be afraid to ask questions. I just went to a class on DSLRs and spent a few minutes with the instructor and he opened up a whole new way on how to use it.
For the real estate, are you going to mainly shoot the houses, or interior shots? Both require a little different set ups. The first I would suggest is a good tripod if you don't have one already.
Enjoy it and welcome to the UHH!
