:-) :-) :-) Now you sound like a good friend of mine, Harvey. He says that lot and means the exact opposite. It's OK for you to say that Erv. You've made my day by liking these, my friend. Much appreciated.
Just stunning. I wish I could just see hawks like this, much less take awesome photos of them!

Browsing through my threads I noticed I had posted very few Red-tailed Hawks. Since we have many of them at Cranberry Marsh, I thought I'd share a few.
Lovely photos Joe, thanks for posting.

This is such an enjoyable series.
The last, the BIF, is magnificent.
We never see hawks, owls, or eagles down here at home on the shore. But, we do see all kinds less than a km. away over the fields and bush. We did have a bald eagle a few years ago try to grab a duck decoy out of the water. A neighbour had anchored it there thinking it looked cute. The eagle swooped down only to get yanked into the water. He perched on my dock for about half an hour drying himself off. He looked very unhappy.

Hi Joe, your shots are awesome. I live in the Sierra Foothills in Northern California where there are lots of redtail hawks, turkey vultures and wildlife. Would you mind telling what camera and lens you used and any relevant settings to assist aspiring wildlife photographers? Your shot clarity is excellent with beautiful smooth bokeh.
