We do miss them when they finally leave! They are such good companionship as you get older. But they come back every year. This mother was born on our spot here about 10-12 years ago and knows my wife. Every spring we wonder if she made it through the winter, but she survives and shows us a new brood. She knows us and usually about a day after the chicks hatch, she brings them up to get acquainted .

I used to live in NJ too. Any chance that you are in Marlton? We had a duck family at Regency Ct. Looks like your same family!

No, We are in the northern part abutting NewYork State. Funny all ducks look alike, but you can tell them apart by their personalities, just like humans.

This is true but they don't all come to your back Dior which is why I thought you may have had some common ground.
