Not being able to get near them can work to your advantage. In the second shot I posted the Blue Heron was staying a way from me on the other side of the lake and I was about to give up and then out of the woods on the other side of the lake by the Blue Heron came a group of Cub Scotts making a lot of noise and bounding towards it, so the Blue Heron flu away from them forcing it to fly right by where I was standing.. A not so good situation turned into a great situation .

Typically I'm not a bird kind of guy, but your photos are excellent. I love all of them but especially the first one. If everyone could shoot birds like you do, I would change my mind about bird shots! Bravo!!!!! :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
