I wanted to post a few flowers from the Senoran Desert here in Tucson. The first is a Hedgehog cactus flower. It is a beautiful flower but being red, is somewhat hard to photograph. I had to use backlight and then replace the white background. The red was then reduced in intensity. The second is of a Saguaro Cactus flower. I was very lucky for the White Winged doves seemed to follow me around that day. I also used a different background to bring out the beauty of the flower and birds. Hope you enjoy.

Carolina. Thanks for your kind comments. I spent about two hours taking pictures of the Saguaro Cactus flowers and the birds were always there. Here are two more of those photos. Again, enjoy.

Wigoode, I too wake up to the doves. I feed them in my backyard and hear them every morning. What a wonderful sound.
