I just posted this photo in the Gallery to be viewed/critiqued. As promised, I am including a story and other shots with it.
This is actually a remake from one I did over 10 years ago. Back then it was with a Mamiya 645. This is digital. The cord was cut from an extension cord and hot glued to a coat hanger. It was then clamped to a stick that was clamped to a tripod. The socket is brass, but was painted flat black. The bulb is hot glued to a pvc pipe that is also painted flat black, and goes through a hole in the black felt background. There is about 2-3 feet distance from the bulb to the background. Lighting is one softbox to the right for the main light with sheets of black poster board taped on for light control. On the left side is another softbox with a blue gel taped to it, along with more black poster board. Behind the back ground is another light providing light down the pvc pipe to light up the bulb. I should have taped the pipe to a snoot, but couldn't find it.
The dog is my 19yo pup Molly.
Comments/questions on the set-up?
Thanks for looking.

Nice set-up. I noticed the dog in #1. He looks like a good helper. :-)
That is a good idea to include the cord..
Gavin hoey has a good tutorial on this; I posted it the other day but adding the cord to it would have made it better.
thanks for posting it.
