Good luck, I hope things go well for you, Thank you for your serice.
From another old vet, It makes me sad to think of how proud I was to serve my country and how we were made to feel ashamed our service when we came home. At least today our troops are treated better by the public, thanks in part to verterns groups.
And I will choke up again when they play taps at the cemetery on Memorial day.

I've come up with a problem which seems unsolvable right now. I'm not sure how long I can keep my internet connection as I am having to move and have to do it by 6/1. Medicade is helping me as I am a Vietnam vet, but the going is slow.
But the reason for this letter is to thank you all. I am so happy I have come across UHH.

I wish you good fortune Whiteeagle! Library is a good alternative. Drop us a line when you can to let us know how you're doing. THANKS for your military service! I'll keep you in my prayers.
Papa Joe

It doesn't matter where you served, it's the fact that you did serve in a very important support roll. I wish and pray all goes well for you in your hour of need and also wish I could do more to help in some way. I served in Vietnam towards the end of the war as I was in country from 1971-1972. Thank you and all those who have served our country.

Wishing you the very best and hoping to see you back here soon. Most of all, mahalo for your service. I served during the Viet Nam conflict and for a total of 20 years but never assigned to any war or conflict areas. My hat comes off with deep respect for all that have.

I sypathize with your situation although I don't know your details; Be it medical, financial or both. The VA is extremely backed up with processing claims as well as some degree of incompetence. (I waited nearly two years)
If you are communicating by mail or E-mail; you should try to get to a real person to talk to at the VA or even contacting your Congressman or Senator. A good start would be here: http://www2.va.gov/directory/guide/facility.asp?id=5460&r=1 I would walk in to talk to them.

All Great Comments from a lot of VETS. Does anybo... (show quote)

I joined this Veterans website last year. It is mainly a sales org as they are selling hats etc. All kinds of military stuff. However it is also a finders website. They have 1.4 million members who have gone there looking for their buddies they served with, I like them and think they are doing a service for Vets.
Their URL is http://www.vetfriends.com/
Keep in mind you will get 5 or more emails a day trying to sell you something, I live with it for the service they do.
One thing they helped me with is I found that once I had a disease that was related to Agent Orange and I found a website through them that explained the disease. I'm over that now so I guess I don't need to do anything more. I would probably have more cause to be concerned about asbestos, as in the Navy practically the whole ship is covered with asbestos.
Wow, get me talkin and I have a problem shuttin up!
I hope that URL helps you. It did me.
