My son who was wounded in the military lives near there...about 5 miles from it. He decided that was the place to retire at 30 years old...very beautiful place.

Welcome BB6! I'm new too and just purchased a Nikon D5100 myself. Have the 18-55 and the 55-200. Looking to purchase the 70-300 soon. Looking forward to seeing some of your pics as well.

Looks like we have a lot in common. I have the same set up. I too would like to hit a bit more on the zoom. My friend that I go out searching eagle nest around the lake area can get a much sharper shot. She has a tamron 70-300 lens. However I can catch them really quick but the photo is not as crisp. Here is a nest shot I took from a good distance and cropped it. Otherwise untouched.
