Very nice James!!! And what a nice ride. You did some great things on this shot. I have to get off my butt and get the software too. Work keeps getting in the way right now.:) This site keeps getting in the way too.:) So many friendships I have made here. Hard not to be on playing. Then there is the family too.:) But maybe this winter I will be asking you lots of questions.:):)

Hi Erv and Thanks,
There's no hurry...just do what you need to, I understand your being busy. I'm fortunate to be retired, so I have the time. Otherwise I'd probably go nuts. Yes, there's a lot of great people here...gets hard to stay off for long. I've learned so much by looking in and reading what folks are up to. The software can be frustrating thou...especially when your first learning how to use it. Many times I had to just quit and walk away when I got flustered. My wife and I picked this little gem up last winter...only has 16,000 miles on it. Got it from a little old lady too.

Ha, yea I know...last time I drove a vehicle this big, I got pulled over by the State Police in Kentucky. Seems I was swerving a bit. He gave me the 3rd degree..."You have any drugs, know anyone with drugs, have any drugs...etc". I just simply showed him my camera lying the in seat next to me and said, "I'm guilty of taking pictures". He started laughing and let me go :)

I'm sure he mistook you for Willie Nelson .

[quote=James56]Hi Folks,
You know the great thing about this site...people encourage each other, and sometimes they give a few tips. When I first joined...I didn't know a thing about Photoshop or for that matter much about any photo editing programs. But over time I've popped in and out, I've learned alot just by seeing what people do. I was always amazed...and thought, geezz, I wished I could do that. It was up to me to take my photography further if thats what I wanted to do. First I had to buy some software...that's a must. Now, I'm on a strick budget, so couldn't spend much. But after some investigation, I decided on Photoshop Elements. It's affordable and has a lot of features. But there's Gimp...it's similar to Photoshop and FREE.
Whatever the case, I've spend lots of time looking at what folks here are doing. I've been inspired by everyones work, enough so to that I been playing with my software and watching tutorial video's in order to figure stuff out. Sometimes I stuggled, and sometimes I just said "screw it, I can't do it". But I never gave up, I kept trying. I just want to encourage those folks new like I was...to keep on trying. Eventually I got better. I'm no Pro, I still have room to grow and more to learn. But I've made some pretty good progress so far. Folks, if I can do this...many of you can. So here's an example of how far I've come since joining this site. A Before and After. This is my wife's and my newly acquired RV, I'm thinking about taking it over as a Mobile Photography Studio. Ha, like that'll ever happen!
We'll it already kind of is, we both have camera's out the windows as we travel. My thanks to all the folks here on UHH for encouragement, friendship and all the education I've learned here. A few months ago...I would have never been able to do this.

pheudo HDR, shot at 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio[/ Very nice RV James, good luck with it! What a great job you did on the photos! I didn't get that far yet. See, i'm learning from you now!! I will have to look into that and try it out thank you so much, Ron

Agree with you one hundred percent. So much to see and learn on this site, with helpful and talented people all around.

Much of the software appears overwhelming at first glance, but if you focus on learning just one thing at a time, use the tutorials either from the software company or on YouTube, you can master almost anything.

Great work on this, James. You've done well. Maybe a bit of a learning curve, but it wasn't really all that hard, was it?

Now, what will you learn today?

Congratulations on your PP ability AND on your new 'Trail Lite' Class C motorhome. Get on the road as often as you can. My wife and I traveled, fulltime, for over 20 years. Go where the pictures are, and take pictures wherever you are. If you would like to know more about full timing PM me. However, i'll be off line shortly and back on about the 20th. DJT

Ditto that. I like the atmosphere of the scene. I deliberately checked the water reflection to see if you remembered to remove the posts from there too.
Personally, I have been doing photography for 35 years and I'm still learning how to do certain things, too afraid to try some others and too slow in the head to get to grips with the rest!
By the way, did you also get pulled over for having no number plates?
