I currently have a Canon T3i. This unit comes with a sensor for the remote on the camera front to trigger the camera. Any ideas on how to use the remote from the rear. My position is inside our house, and with the sensor on the front, the house is always in the picture. We mainly are birding, but deer, turkey ducks and other wildlife pass by the camera, so we need to be inside as to not alarm anything.

Go to eBay and search for "Canon RS-60e3 Remote Release"
You should find many options, both wired and wireless. Adorama and Amazon also have compatible models.
