I keep two cameras in my case in my truck as I have too often heard the phrase,
''Ohhh I should have brought my camera''
One has a 17-85 mm and the other a 70-300 mm. (I hate changing lenses in a rush)
AFTER THE STORM IS ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!!
I love Sherman Lake, New York.
My family has been holding a family reunion for over 30 years and this lake has been a life long favorite photographic subject.
Weather, Season and time of day all dramatically affect the look of the lake, as well as the surrounding area.
I know that for as long as I continue visiting Sherman, I will always get Great new photos!

We live on the backroads, so here is a shot of our road that I got right after a blast of snow this morning! LOVE the silence that snow brings.

Julie, that sunset looks like what I saw last night while driving, without my camera, in PA. Gorgeous!

That is so beautiful. When I was a kid that was such a dirty ugly place. You're other picture is SO western PA aside from being a great shot.
How lucky are we to "see" the world ..simple
.beautiful
and at a glimpse that is gone in a flash

.even from our own backyard!!
.So much beauty lost on so many
:-((( The Most Positive... my children look at the day/surroundings different now

I was out there yesterday and the geese were fidgetty and I'm thinking that the big move south is eminent.

Pittsburgh has turned around. I find myself there a least a couple times a month. And thanks to everyone for the comments!!! A lot of nice work here!
Even though I live across the river, I rarely get into town as my country roots keep me out cities
