I'm thinking maybe a 300mm FD lens for my Canon FTb. You can find them really cheap nowadays.

I had one, loved it but it got stolen with my ftb and 5 other lens when I lived in the state of Washington for a year. Slit the top of my convertible and went through the trunk

My bank says its ok but my wife said not no but hell no. It will happen some day anyway. She will get over it. I usually start out with the I dont hunt, I dont fish and I dont golf so if she wants I can start any of those hobbies or all.,if she would like!! Or I can get a couple of lens.

Try the anniversary gift. Husband just gave me the 100-400l as an early one.

Not to discriminate against my Nikon brothers but I'd like to talk lenses with my fellow Canon shooters for a bit. What is your next lens purchase? I'd like to get a TS-E 17mm f4L Tilt & Shift. I swear to god I would put that in the center of my dinning room table in place of a vase if I had one. The combination of mechanism and optics appeals to the engineer in me not to mention the creative possibilities. Yeah, I'd love to have the 85mm f1.2 and who wouldn't want a 500mm f4 but I think that Tilt & Shift would be a blast.

I recently purchased a Canon T/S 24mm for my 7D & 5D Mk Ii. I love it!!!

I have had the 100-400 L for 2 years. It's still my favorite lens and stays on the camera.

I really wish people would answer the question and only the question.
The question wasn't - what would you really like but can't afford.
The question wasn't - what do you already have that you think is great.

The question for Canon owners was - which lens WILL be your next PURCHASE?

I know what your saying Lighthouse but I don't mind if someone wants to daydream :). That's what I was doing when I first posted the question. To tell you the truth I'm also interested in "why" someone would buy the lens they desire as much as which lens they want.

Hey Photodog, OK I'm jealous! Are you using your 24 T&S for architectural or some other reason.

Just about ready to pull the trigger on the 70-200 4L w/o IS.
need a prop for all my photos so IS would not help. Hand tremors prevent hand held shots. I have used a friend's IS and no help.

I will be shooting large birds. Tired of stacking extenders.

Architectural. I know the backward flop can be fixed in Photoshop, but I've always had a hard on for this lens and got a good deal on it through B&H. I live close to Pittsburgh and love photographing the city.
