Took 386 "test" shots this morning! Most went beyond limits of the camera (so am not doing store original) and I still have to learn which setting will work best for me, but thought these were cute enough to share.
Have included two taken with SLR at 250mm so you can appreciate the distance! (uploading 6)
Rebel t3i 250 mm
SX50
SX50
SLR 250 mm - how do I even spot these guys??
SX50
SX50, cropped. Osprey and magpie
Nice set Linda. Only one to find what suets you is to try, try, try again.

Great test!! You will do very well with this little gem!
Nice pics...a 50X lens is fun to play with!
Thanks all. It was so much fun, I'm going out again this afternoon in 90-degree heat. I don't expect to find as much wildlife activity. At least I figured out a few settings while I was home for lunch :)
Nice shots, Linda. That's one gem of a long lens on that camera. Did you do these hand-held?

Great set Linda...looks like you're having a lot of fun with your new SX50!
Love the close up of the baby Eagles...good job
Thanks Treepusher and Carolina Wings! Yes, handheld. Just can't be bothered with a tripod - ha!
For a test run these are really very good Linda.

Wow, how lucky to have been able to get these pics! They are terrific.. Nice job :)
Thanks for viewing. Joe and lotsa50. I have had quite an incredible run of luck being in the right place at the right time for wildlife the past few months. Even saw a coyote near the road in fenced field at 10 a.m. on Sunday!
Just the experience of being out in nature is such a great reward in itself and I feel so lucky to live in an area with so much of it; any halfway decent photo is a bonus!
You have a nice set, Linda.
Holy Crap! Nice! I wish I could talk my wife out of her stupid Fuji.
