How fortunate to be able witness the cat and get a photo.

Thanks to everyone for their comments on the Bobcat picture.
I am very much the amateur, and have only been brave enough to post few more than a handful of photos here. Most have been for the subject matter, not for photographic merit.
Specs on the Bobcat photo. Taken on a cloudy day, not much past dawn, so I had to really boost the ISO. Very noisy in the dark background that I cropped out. Picture was taken through the window.
Distance about 25 feet; Lens: Tamron EF 70-300mm, at 240mm
Camera Canon 60D; ISO 3200, 1/250, 5.6
That's a well-taken,beautiful cat photo.
He looks determined, doesn't he?!! Good shot Louie!

maybe he appreciates a well manicured yard for his morning snack...
Nice shot... He'll probably be back... (all cats love easy access clean water)
All cats love easy access to birds -- about 200 milion birds per year in the US.

Don't be too quick to believe everything you read. Remember when every magazine article promoting flu shots stated that " Each year 36,000 people in the US die from the flu". Really????? Our population would not be at 7 billion if that were true.
Excellent shot, gorgeous cat. Thanks for sharing!

I just acquired a bird bath a couple of days ago. I got up this morning and found this bobcat lying in wait on the ground between the bird feeder and the bird bath. Probably expecting a buffet. (Taken right after dawn...ISO on automatic and very high)
Great picture! Exciting morning for sure. I'm glad you had your camera handy.
